Initiatives Group present information evening in Wicklow during World Autism
Wicklow Mental Health Association and Wicklow Autism
Initiatives are hosting a Public Information evening on Tuesday 31
March at 8:00pm. The event will take place in the Grand Hotel, Wicklow.
Ailieen Fitzpatrick from County Wicklow Autism Initiatives services will give
examples of ‘real’ people with ‘real’ problems and will talk about those
problems are not necessarily solved but are adapted to meet the demands of
living within their community.
Autism is often misunderstood, misdiagnosed or
missed altogether. During the evening Aileen will explain the Autism
Initiatives model of support, which is an asset based approach, with the focus
primarily on the person and their strengths.
